Thanks for the comments – heat transfer encompasses a lot of different processes. The process with the Versacamm will be your best bet if you are wanting multi color graphics onto apparel as well as window decals, bumper stickers etc. It’s kind of an all in one machine. Since the Versacamm has a cutting function, you can cut stencils on it out of vinyl for silkscreening.

The main differences between silk screen and heat press are simply: silkscreen = high volume repetitive runs, heat tarnsfer = low to mid volume runs and personalization

Oh I am also wondering about eco-friendly ink and dye, as it would be the only option i would be willing to use, even if it was a bit more expensive, thanks again.

So I’m wondering…I have checked out the roland cut/print machines… would they also work for silkscreen stencils?? Also what are the advantages of silk screen compared to heat press…I know from time to time when I wear a heat pressed shirt the area that has been pressed on can feel kinda sticky and hot to the skin, is that because of the type of material that was used for the image, and is there a type of pressed image that feels more like silk screen shirts?? I’m just getting into this and I want to purchase the equipment to start a small home based business for my free time, and I’m unsure of the path to take, and equipment to go with. I would also like to print stickers for car windows or in the house. Thanks, any help is much appreciated!
