Hotronix Fusion and Super Film at Work at NBA All Star Jam Session

23 Feb

I’m a huge basketball fan and really enjoy watching the NBA All Star Game each year.  In the past, I’ve had the opportunity to attend a few of the games to help heat print custom All Star jerseys with names and numbers.  It’s a great experience to see the fans reaction when they connect the fact that they can have the East or West jersey with their name on it, and I love that jersey customization is powered by heat printing.   I had to share this post from Ted Stahls’ blog showing the heat printing set up at this years Jam Session:

The products being used are Super Film, Custom Transfer Numbers & Solutions Metallic.  A great example of mixed media delivering a high end result.  As you can see all of the products are being printed on the industries most versatile heat press; the Hotronix Fusion.  And for those that can make it out from the photo at Ted’s blog, the Roland GX-24 vinyl cutter is cutting the names.

You have access to all of these products and here’s a quick link list where you can learn more about each:

Mastering Solvent Digital Heat Transfers – Full Webinar Recording for Free

15 Dec

Awhile back we published a video class recording from the Stahls’ Heat Printing Zone at the SGIA show.  The class was all about the Digital Shop of the Future and some of the opportunities print/cut solvent transfers can bring to your business.

Continuing in this same fashion, earlier this week, Great Garment Graphics hosted a webinar for us about Mastering Solvent Digital Heat Transfers.  The webinar goes in depth on the workflow that these print/cut machines use as well as explains when you would want to utilize this technology versus screen printing.  I think you’d be surprised at some of the applications and quantities at which digital heat transfers make sense.

For those of you who didn’t make the live webinar, I’m happy to be able to present the recorded version in its entirety below.

As always, thanks for reading….
