I’ve been watching the Olympic trials over the past few nights and with the Summer games approaching we’re starting to excited about the possibilities for Team USA in the various sports. One sport that I haven’t watched too much until now is Gymnastics. My 3-year-old daughter is just starting to try dance classes like ballet, jazz and tap as well as gymnastics at our local YMCA.
Given her interest in these, she (as well as my wife and I) enjoyed watching the recent trials for the Women’s USA Gymnastics Team on TV. I’m not sure if she’ll ever be a gymnast, let alone an Olympic gymnast, but I have a lot of fun thinking about what she might become!
Here is a shirt I just made for her to wear tomorrow during our 4th of July picnic to proudly support the USA and her new found interest!
The materials used were CAD-CUT Glitter Flake and Fashion Film Electric. Both of which will be highly durable on this garment.
If you haven’t already, I would recommend stocking up on your country’s colors and showcasing what you can print with your heat press!
Happy 4th of July!
Josh

Like the combination and overlays. Could you give us the cost of materials per side when you do these samples. Sometimes the material descriptions aren’t clear of what you can layer.
Sure, the basic cost for this shirt is as follows:
Glitter Flake Blue used approx 6 linear inches = $1.90
Glitter Flake Red used approximately 2 linear inches = $0.63
Glitter Flake Silver used approximately 7 linear inches = $2.21
Fashion Film Electric Red approximately 7 linear inches = $1.48
Total Material cost = $6.22
Keep in mind that I’m calculating linear inches and assuming wasting the full width, if you were ganging up images and doing say 2 up, you can nearly cut your cost per shirt in half. I never like to leave waste unaccounted for and include it in the cost of this garment. Blank tee is approximately $2 wholesale and labor for 1 shirt was about 15 minutes. So total cost to produce is approximately $10 with labor/overhead/materials. Not bad, can sell these retail for $20 I bet….got lots of compliments at the family cookout. Glitter flake really is attention grabbing!
Here in the UK it’s nothing but Olympics, the hipe that is going on with the torch being carried all around GB is unbelievable. The graphics and clothing used by the official Olympics promotions team leave a little to be desired, your daughters tee shirt looks much better, maybe you should introduce yourself to the graphic designer that put the UK’s team stuff together!
