On Saturday we saw Nike’s Pro Combat take the field with Boise State, Oregon and Georgia college football uniforms. Tonight the University of Maryland is sporting their new UA jerseys against the University of Miami. In my opinion, Nike should have decked out Miami with a Pro Combat uniform to go head to head with the UA release…that didn’t happen but the two clearly put something new on the field this weekend.
So of course we have to show you the Under Armour Jerseys. Below is a link to the video highlighting them…just published by UA on YouTube.
Although I’m a fan of almost everything UA does and a fan of being progressive with uniform styling, I don’t think this jersey hits the mark….in my opinion, this may be an example of going a little too far, too soon.

So it appears that they have done this through sublimation? Correct? What about the shoes? They seem to be styled for the skateboarder.
I believe the sleeves were probably a fully sublimated fabric before the jersey was sewn together. The numbers on front and back still appear to be twill. The shoes are out there and you’re right they do have a little bit of a street wear/ skate inspired look…the helmet distracted me most.
Shoes are a little distracting.
