13 Reasons Why – Eco-Film Cadcut Heat Press Vinyl – Film

Eco-Film Cadcut Heat Press Vinyl Selling Points

Over the last 6 months I have been representing a new product called Eco-Film.

For those of you who are not familiar, Eco-Film is a cadcut – heat press vinyl product that can be cut in a mirror image on a vinyl cutter – weeded – then heat applied.

Eco-Film compares to the likes of other brands such as thermoflex, thermofilm, hotmark and spectracut II.

After conducting many wash tests, and putting this product into the hands of my best customers – I am happy to announce its benefits and make it readily available in yardage samples to anyone that owns a vinyl cutter and a heat press.  For sample ordering see end of post.

13 Benefits of Eco-Film – heat press film for apparel (cottons & polyesters)

Benefit #1:  Eco-Film applies in a one step application at a very low temperature.  As long as you have a heat press with accurate pressure you can heat apply Eco-Film at a temperature of 305 degrees for only 8 seconds.  If your heat press isn’t completely accurate, you’ll want to bump up the time used (try 12 seconds) to effectively reach themelting point of the adhesive.  As far as I know, 8 seconds is the shortest dwell time on the market – other popular brands recommend up to temperatures of 350 degrees and times of 20 seconds to apply.  Making it tough to accomodate polyesters and lengthening production times.

Benefit #2:  Eco-Film’s release carrier can be peeled hot, warm or cold.  After only representing cold peel cadcut for years, I cannot tell you how excited I am to offer a hot peel material.  I have peeled the backing immediately, even on small detail making it edge out competitive brands that require extra care for a hot peel and sometimes even a second application.

Benefit #3:  Price.  Compare Eco-Film to any like brand and you will notice price savings of around 20% on average.

Benefit #4:  Look & Feel.  It isn’t even fair to refer to this polyurethane based film as a vinyl.  The material leaves a look and feel that is comparable to screen printing.

Benefit #5:  Opacity.  Even though this material is thinner and feels soft, it is not so thin that it compromises coverage like other brands.  Heat apply a white material on a red shirt with no problem.

Benefit #6:  Durability.  Will outlast the garment – no cracking, peeling, fading or puckering – even on larger coverage areas.  Wash this film 15 times beside of any competitor.

Benefit #7:  Color Offering.  Eco-Film comes in 35 colors…soon to be more.  Includes hard to find colors like – Maroon, Cardinal, Burgundy, Texas Orange, Lime, Vegas Gold, Old Gold, Neons etc. etc.

Benefit #8:  Sticky backing.  Eco-Film features a sticky mylar backing, so cutting fine detail is no problem.  Also, if you accidentally peel up a letter you can place it back down.

Benefit #9:  Visible Cutting Lines.  When weeding it is helpful to have a film that shows the cutting lines – this film does.

Benefit #10:  Roll Size Availability.  You can order Eco-Film in roll sizes from 5 yard to 50 and any 5 yard increment between.

Benefit #11:  15″ wide.  By Demand this material is available in 15″ wide roll sizes.

Benefit #12:  Satin finish – not too glossy, not just matte – Eco-Film is just right.

Benefit #13:  Introducing Eco-Film Plus.  While the standard Eco-Film is only compatible with cottons and polyesters – we now have a product called Eco-Film Plus!  Order Eco-Film Plus for heat press application onto Nylon and Leather fabrics.
