Heat Press: Heat Transfer Vinyl – It’s A Wrap

Spectracut II Heat Transfer Vinyl Wrap

It’s a wrap!  In the above photo I used some Spectracut II heat transfer vinyl, a Roland GX-24 vinyl cutter, a heat printing pillow and a 16 x 20 heat press to create a shirt.  The process included cutting out the oversized print, weeding away the excess material and then heat pressing by utilizing 3 separate hits with a heat press.  This process should give you some ideas of what you can do with a heat press, a vinyl cutter and some creativity.  To learn more about the basic process of heat transfer vinyl, watch my Video Tutorial on Heat Transfer Vinyl

If you pay special attention to the part of the design that extends onto the sleeve, you will notice that heat transfer vinyl actually has the ability to be pressed over top of a seam.

Dare I say….Versatility?
