Tone On Tone Heat Pressing – Fashion Forward

28 Dec

There are many ways in which garment decoration trends translate from one medium to the next.  After reading Jimmy Lamb’s article on tone-on-tone embroidery, I couldn’t help but think of some exciting ways this concept could apply to decorators that own a heat press and/or a vinyl cutter.  If you own a heat press and vinyl cutter, the above article should be an excellent read.  When applying the information to your process, think outside the box.  A first step would be to incorporate tone-on-tone applications like black on black into your product line.  Along with this, you might consider some additional options – like a black reflective or glitter on black.  Remember, heat transfer vinyl comes in many styles and many finishes, so let your imagination run wild!

Abacus only uses the best inks on the market. Wilflex has been the leader in the screen printing inks for many years.
